The Sacred Hoop - Picture Book

I finally got to see the finished book so here are a few photographs to give you an idea of the end product, which will be put up for the final show exhibition of my extended diploma course together with the work of 500 other students.
I am not completely satisfied with the job the printing company did and they charged a ridiculous price on top of that, so I am now looking out for online companies which are cheaper and more reliable. If you have any suggestions I'd be very happy to read them! c:
I am still looking very much forward to the opening night of the exhibition at the 23rd of may which also will be the last time for all the people of my course to get together. I think it will be a nice endling of those two years.

You can find the whole book on animexx or bookrix if you're interested in reading it. :)

The Sacred Hoop W.I.P. III

Okay, last w.i.p. post for this project. c:
It's been some pretty stressful weeks but now all the pages are done and lettered and at the print office already, just waiting to get transformed into an actual book. I'll be collecting it on monday and really can't wait to get my hands onto it.

Pixie Dust - Prologue pages 1-4

Lined traditionally and added screentones digitaly to the first four pages of the prologue.
It's weird to draw so many children...so far my characters have always been at least teenagers.:/
It's a good practise though and I feel quite relaxed drawing Faylinn. She's a cute girl.
I can relate to her better than expected.

Pixie Dust - Sketches

I sketched the first pages of Pixie Dust today - more to give it a go and get into drawing manga again after I somehow managed to not draw a single page for more than a year...O__O
I can't believe it's been so long... I noticed it during the drawing though...I need loads of practise to get as good(?) as I used to be, but that's what this story would be perfect for basically. :3
After all..I still love drawing mangas so very much. It's such a nice and more complex way to express something, rather than with a single painting only.

VERTIGO-Comic

About two years ago the German metal band VINDER asked me to illustrate a comic for their new concept album VERTIGO that contains the most important parts of the lyrics.
Now the album finally got released - some great heavy metal tracks which tell the enthralling, gloomy story of Vincent O'Leary, in combination with my artwork, so go and buy the CD people!:]
I really liked the tracks in the end even if I'm not that much in that kind of music usualy. The story is quit...weird at some points and I really have to point out that I'm ONLY responsible for the drawings.xD

I know that there are some bad mistakes relating perspective and proportion and even colour...^^° but I was 17 at that time so don't be too harsh please.:3 I really gave my best and put all my heart in it.<3

These are just a few of the pages. If you're interested in the whole comic buy the album!:P
