'Spectrum Artworks' - Artbook Contribution

 Hello everyone!

Yet again I haven't been posting anything for such a long time...but that was mainly due to the projects I was working on - I simply wasn't able/allowed to share any of them for a while.

But finally here's an update. :)

In the second half of last year I was honoured to take part in a German artbook project called 'Spectrum Artworks'. 17 German artists came together to create 2 pieces each that were all put together in a beautiful book. We agreed on two themes which were 'elements' and 'fantasy' and every work was supposed to include a butterfly in one way or another.

New Year's Dreams

Of course my siblings and me again created a 2014 calendar for our mum as a Christmas present. :)
Maybe you still remember last year's series I created for that purpose which I called 'New Year's Wishes'.
This year's series is called 'New Year's Dreams'. :)

I also drew another portrait of my lovely niece and godchild for her second birthday. :)
I'll draw one every year to document her development (and my own for that matter...)

Self-portrait

I had to create a self-portrait for an artbook I'll be part of..
It somehow turned into a colour experiment but I kind of like it. (:

 

Commissions

This was one of the last and loveliest commissions I was privileged to work on last year. A fine young gentlemen commissioned it for his girlfriend as an anniversary present because he knew she was a fan of my work. It made me very happy to work on this illustration. :)

Thank you all so very much for the interest and support you have again shown me during the last year. All the commission requests, lovely comments and orders in my shop truly gave me some courage to pursue this way of becoming a freelance illustrator. THANK YOU!
The private commission list for 2014 is now fully booked out and I won't take on any further requests this year in order to focus on my University projects which I deem most important for the time beeing. I'll contact everyone on the list shortly to let you know an estimated date of completion for your individual request.

Again, a very happy new year to all of you wonderful people - I hope my work will continue to have a place in your heart.

Precious Moments - Calendar 2014

I had the honour of being part of a very lovely project. The dear Himeyu  invited 25 artists to create a digital calendar for 2014 together which is now available to download for free here.

The idea was to inspire people to give and to appreciate the kindness we are shown from others in our dayly routine. We want to acknowledge those precious moments which make our lives worthwhile.

I hope you enjoy looking at it, everyone involved worked very hard on their entrys. Have a wonderful year 2014, may your days be filled with many precious moments! :)

H.C.Andersen's Fairy Stories - Picture Book II

The books I talked about in the last post are now available for purchase in my shop. :)
I am very satisfied with the printing quality - they do look quite lovely and hopefully make some nice christmas presents.
