More Workshops

Here are some more outcomes of the workshops we did at Uni within the last few weeks.
One was called Realism Now! and we were tought how to create very realistic portraits using layers of crosshatching. I really enjoyed it. :)

they looked lovely all put on the wall next to each other.
We also did some very quick life drawing sessions where we had to change material constantly.

Then we did something colaborative called 'film on the wall' which was a lot of fun even though it looks kind of weird...

And some still lifes using some dead animals.

The book that travels all around the world

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to introduce a very special project to you. This beautiful journal arrived in my mailbox last week - it's a world-travel-book which visited a few people before arriving here and will travel to even more distant places hereafter. On the map inside its cover you can see where it stopped already and the goal is to have marks in as many countries as possible in the end.

This idea has been around for a while and I'm sure some of you have heard of the '1,000 Journals Project', of which I've always been a big fan. Within the community of deviantART though this is the first project of its kind as far as I'm concerned and I'm amazed how many people already signed up to be part of it. At the moment there are two books travelling and a third one is already in progress.
Yes, you can be part of it as well! If you have a deviantART account that is.
Simply follow this link to get to the group and contact the organiser: World-Travel-Book

Now I'm going to show you what I made out of the 4 pages I was allowed to fill. :)

And here are some photographs of the making of these.

May this book be guided by good spirits throughout its journey to distant places - taking our work and hearts with it. ♥

Miniature Artworks - ACEO Commissions

Just why are these amazingly small cards so hugely popular.? I mean they're pretty and easy to collect but..so tiny. ._.
Working on them puts more pressure on me than working on big canvases, but people keep commissioning them so I did the best I could. I slowly start to adapt myself to this format but seriously..it feels like I have to learn everything all over again.
They're good for experimenting with different colour schemes though, I really like the atmosphere of the top one.

Here's some work in progress for you. :)

Growing

Some Illustration I finished today... I really dislike those colours, they were alright at one point but then completely got out of hand. Also the scanner made it even more pink than it really is, the photographs are slightly more authentic (but blurry), ah it's just not my day today.
Anyway, I decided to ruffle it off so if  you'd like to win this by any chance, simply stop by at my facebook page. Good luck!
Going to catch some sun now. :)

Shepherdess study

Study for a painting I hopefully get to paint very soon.
Pastels, water colour and white gelpen.
Also some sketches done in the park, oh I love those Sequoia trees.
