Commission: Nocturnal Bath & Reading Time

These are a couple of commissions I did for Prinzessin-Zelda. The first one shows her OC Minka with her alter ego and the second one pictures her OC Dragon.
They've been a pleasure to paint and I wholly enjoyed the process of creating them. Here is a bit of w.i.p. for everyone interested. Enjoy.

 Sketches

fully covered the paper with water, than added some splashes of colour and salt here and there to create an atmosphere and overall colour scheme

fleshing out the characters, creating depth and contrast

elaborating the background, adding final touches

VoilĂ , done!

(I'm lying..it actually took me way too long again, I really need to get faster...^^')

Auburn Sensation

A little something for a special someone.
Happy Birthday, dear!

The media I used were mainly acrylics which are great to achieve those beautiful textures I'm obsessed with lately. I also used a reddish-brown non-waterproof fineliner as well as a white gelpen.
Here's some work in progress.

Happy (belated) New Year!!

Hello and a very happy and successful new year to all of you! May it be filled with happiness and wonderful moments. This series of artworks is entitle 'New Years Wishes' and was done for the calendar my siblings and me create for our mum every year as a Christmas present.
I didn't have much time for them so they're quite quick and simple but I still like them..hope you do too. Which one is your favourite? would be interesting to know. :)

(By the way, there's 50% off all prints at the moment since I need to move house and everything must go.

Thank you for this great commission, I hope it'll arrrive soon and safe.

Also I have been part of an exhibition last Sunday and it was a quite successful and lovely event. I met wonderful people and had a very good time. Also I sold some prints of my work which are available online now as well, here in the new section [Things for SALE].

Leaving card

Unfortunately our tutor is leaving after Christmas, which is very sad indeed. We all made him little postcards with small good bye notes to make him regret leaving us. ha. This is mine. I quite like it and hope he does too.

Lost Souls

Lost souls are on their way to the Human world in order to take vengeance.
They're also looking for bodies to inhabit - Beware!

Happy Halloween everyone!!! :D
Even though my Uni work doesn't leave a lot of space for personal work I just couldn't resist to at least paint a quick halloweenish illustration. I simply love this time of the year - stay safe everyone! :)

The book that travels all around the world

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to introduce a very special project to you. This beautiful journal arrived in my mailbox last week - it's a world-travel-book which visited a few people before arriving here and will travel to even more distant places hereafter. On the map inside its cover you can see where it stopped already and the goal is to have marks in as many countries as possible in the end.

This idea has been around for a while and I'm sure some of you have heard of the '1,000 Journals Project', of which I've always been a big fan. Within the community of deviantART though this is the first project of its kind as far as I'm concerned and I'm amazed how many people already signed up to be part of it. At the moment there are two books travelling and a third one is already in progress.
Yes, you can be part of it as well! If you have a deviantART account that is.
Simply follow this link to get to the group and contact the organiser: World-Travel-Book

Now I'm going to show you what I made out of the 4 pages I was allowed to fill. :)

And here are some photographs of the making of these.

May this book be guided by good spirits throughout its journey to distant places - taking our work and hearts with it. ♥
